A terrified college teen struggles to hotwire a broken down automobile, fingers fumbling with their haste and already tired from the strain of their situation - glancing over their shouder every other second in case the masked killer who's been murdering their friends on their remote summer getaway...

An archaeologist stranded on an alien world takes their time over deciphering an ancient inscription, meticulously recovering the secrets of the destroyed civilisation, wipes the sweat from their brow unaware that their fellow reserachers ar being picked off one by one by the terror that brought about this world's apocalypse...

A team of mercenaries find their helicopter smashed, and no comms available - A hasty search for replacements uncovers only short-range walkie-talkies and one of them snags their ankle on an enemy boobytrap. All at once the jungle comes to life and claims one of their number...

Iron Taste Of Blood is an Iron Core based TTRPG for 4 or more players, inspired by classic slasher horror movies and video games, everything from the Alien franchise to Dead By Daylight and Friday the 13th. Players must choose whether to spend longer on their tasks, or exhaust themselves with the effort of going quickly, and balance both against the quality of their plans. Because the more time they take, the closer the Killer comes to claiming their next victim, but if the work isn't good enough, their attempts to escape are doomed. And if you wear yourself out, you'll be easy prey.

Using a 3d6 mechanic devised by BrubruGeek, one player acts as the game runner and roleplays the mysterious Killer, while the others play as the Victims hoping to survive and find rescue or escape. Initially, the Victims have other purposes and goals, and these may interfere with their initial survival instincts when people start turning up dead. The Killer, meanwhile, wants to strike terror into their hearts and slowly reveal the dark motive that underlies their murderous spree.

At present this is just a rich text file with the basic rules, ut I have made fillable or printable PDF files for the Victim and Killer character sheets. A full PDF version of the rules will be coming soon, and I will be putting a small price for the game then - this is your chance to get it early and get it free (or what you want to pay).
